How does a telemedicine visit work?

A telemedicine visit works like an in-office appointment, but over secure video. After you book, you receive a link to join from your phone, tablet or computer. At your appointment time, your provider joins the call, reviews your concerns and updates your plan. Any prescriptions or lab orders are sent electronically.

What can be treated through telemedicine?

Telemedicine is ideal for consultations, follow-ups, lab reviews, hormone and weight loss check-ins, and managing chronic conditions. Some services, such as chiropractic adjustments, IV therapy, ozone therapy and physical exams, require an in-person visit. Your provider will let you know if you need to come into the Rockville office.

Can I get lab work with a virtual visit?

Yes. Your provider can order lab work during a telemedicine visit, and you can have your blood drawn at a nearby lab or, for some tests, use an at-home kit. Once results are ready, you review them together in a follow-up video visit.

Who can use telemedicine at Today's Integrative Health?
